David’s q&a.
Through his interviews with musicians, David learned that; In recent years, the music industry has witnessed significant growth in the number of ‘unsigned’ or ‘self-releasing’ artists—often referred to as ‘DIY musicians’ or ‘independent musicians’—who upload their music directly to streaming platforms. conclusion: Run tons of surveys and focus groups before releasing music. “Build your audience before feeding them with music”

“There’s an old saying that states ‘your music is the last thing that matters until there hearing it and then it’s the only thing that matters’ you have to get them to the music! The chances are that your music didn’t fall from the sky into your headphones, share your journey then the music will either speak for itself or it won’t. Which brings me to my next point; the music has to be produced to radio standards, this is crucial to have people engaging in your music the right way and having streaming platforms push your music forward.”
